About the project

Esthetic Education, the Ukrainian band to day approached me to come up with a concept around the unnecessary death of young soldiers being sent to war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I  imagined a young man meeting death from the moment he goes to the barber before being sent off for his mission. The result a quite eerie video that leaves room for thought. This video was shot in an old barber shop in the center of Beirut, Lebanon. It took us under 10 hours to complete the job thanks to an amazing local crew. It was shot on 35mm using the vision2 500T stock from Kodak.
